Jackson Struggles on the Road in Double Digit Loss
Jackson starts off the week long road trip with a 7 inning loss to O' Fallon 12-1. The Hoots have had the Rockabillys number all season as they best the Jackson squad in 3 of the 4 contests in the first half including 2 games being won by the mercy rule.
Games like this are bound to happen throughout the summer but the Goats posting just 4 hits as a collective. Half of the offense came from Bryce Messer who had a 2/3 contest despite the loss. The pitching struggled out of the gates allowing for 12 runs on 9 hits to allow the Hoots to walk away with the victory.
Jackson will conclude the conference season tonight as they play the Alton River Dragons before finishing the first half in Danville on Thursday and Friday.
