Rockabillys Fall in First Ever Meeting With the Bean Ballers
Jackson faced off against Decatur for the first ever time in Prospect League history last night and the Bean Ballers had the Goats number last night as the Rockabillys fall 9-2.
The Rockabillys got off to a lead in the first inning off of a Makarus single up the middle and the Goats put up another run in the third thanks to Hayden Mosley. Decatur went on to put up 9 unanswered runs including a 5 run bottom of the third.
The Rockabillys fall to a losing record on the road for the first time this season as the loss puts them at 4-5 for the season.
The Goats will pack up early and have the day off today due to weather concerns in Central Illinois. The Rockabillys will be back at home tomorrow as they face off against their division rival, the Cape Catfish, for a 1 game series. The Rockabillys will be celebrating First Responders Night to show appreciation for all those who keep Jackson area safe every day. All first responders as well as their families will get in free to enjoy the game!
