Rockabillys Come Up Succcessful in Game 1 of the Scheduled Double Header
Jackson comes away victorious in their first shutout of the year stunning the Hoots 2-0 in what ended up being the only game of the evening.
The Goats defense bounced back after the previous games 5 error affair behind Tate Hickman. Hickman gave up just 1 hit in his 5 innings of play as he walked 3 and waved 7 to gain himself his second win of the year. Onorato got the save to preserve the shutout as he recorded the final two outs in O' Fallon.
It was not the strongest night offensively for Jackson as the only multi hit contest came from Bryce Messer who took over in the hot corner. Parker Blackman also snagged a couple bags in last night's contest to solidify himself atop the leader board in the prospect league with 21 on the season.
The Rockabillys will continue last night's double header today as suspension rules are in play. According to Prospect League Rules the contest tonight will consist of two 7 inning contests as the Rockabillys go for the sweep over the Hoots. The first game will begin at 5:35 pm with a tentative start of the second game at 8 pm.
