Rockabillys Bounce Back at Home

The Goats win 7-6 in a Nail Biter over Thrillville

The Rockabillys find a way to win to break their first losing streak of the year as they take down Thrillville at home thanks to the Rockabillys live mascot Frank, who is now 3-0 in games he has been at.

Baseball is a game of the big inning is a saying that has echoed throughout ballparks since baseballs' conception. This was not the case last night as Thrillville was the one with the big inning but the Goats walked away with the victory. The squad from Marion put up a 5 run 5th inning to tie the game but the Rockabillys continue to play Matty Holem's approach of small ball which proved to be effective in the win.

The offence was led by Zavier Hatfield and Parker Blackman who continue to add base hits and stolen bases to their resumes as they embody the small ball mentality perfectly. The pitching had an excellent game other than the big 5th inning. Esteban Torres started the game and only allowed for 1 run in his 3 innings and then excellent pitching from both Jaxon Valdez and the closer for tonight, Dante Onorato shuts the door on a Rockabilly W.

The Rockabillys are at home again today as they play Thrillville once again at 7 pm. Teacher appreciation night as well as Princess night at the ballpark will make for an amazing evening at Jackson Stadium. Grab your teacher on summer vacation and your Disney princess in training and bring them on out to the ball game!
