Rockabillys Drop Second Straight to the Cape Catfish
The Rockabillys fall in Cape Girardeau yet again as the Catfish put up 4 unanswered in a 4-2 victory
The Rockabillys will be happy to come home after a long road trip in which they picked up 2 losses both to the Cape Catfish. The Catfish now lead the division which the Rockabillys had control of heading into the road series. The Rockabillys drop to 8-3 after the loss and sit just half a game behind the 9-3 Catfish.
The Goats struck first scoring the first two runs of the ball game off of an error and a Zavier Hatfield base hit. They led 2-0 until the flood gates opened in the bottom of the 6th where Cape scored 4 and then shut the door as those were the final runs of last night's ball game.
Despite the loss a few of Jackson's players shined in last nights contest as Jakob Holzer went for 5 innings giving up 5 hits and holding a shutout before his departure from the game. Zavier Hatfield also had an excellent contest with 2 hits in his four appearances and knocking around 1 of the runs for the Goats.
The Rockabillys have today (6-8) off with the rest of the Prospect League and will pick it back up tomorrow for the two game home stand against the Thrillville Thrillbillies where it'll be a great time for fans young and old as the Rockabillys celebrate "Used to Be Young Night" at the ballpark!
