The Goats Keep it Rolling on the Road

The Rockabillys extend their win streak to 5 as they take down the Catfish in Cape Girardeau with a score of 7-3.

The first road trip for Coach Holem's squad ends successfully as the bats stay hot and the "Goat Pen" finishes the job. The Rockabillys got off to a quick 1-run lead to start the first inning, thanks to a sac fly from Nick Tobin. This didn't last for long, however, as the Catfish responded with excellent plate discipline, gaining five free bases to take a lead of their own, which they held until the Goats tied it up in the 5th inning. The Rockabillys showed off the lumber in the eighth inning, and Cape had no response as the Rockabillys scored four and finished the job for the win.

Parker Blackman and Ayden Makarus, who both slashed for 2 RBIs and multiple hits, led the offense. The pitching, on the other hand, was led by the "Goat Pen," who combined for 8.1 innings with only 1 earned run.

The Goats have tonight off to recover before the extended road trip starting tomorrow, where they will take on the Thrillville Thrillbillies for a two-game series.
