Rockabillys Swept by Johnstown
JOHNSTOWN, Penn.- The Rockabillys were once again shutout by Johnstown, as their losing streak extended to five games with a 5-0 loss Friday evening.
We got our first start of the season from left-hander Ben Eisenhauer, but unfortunately he couldn't change the luck around for the 'Billys, as he allowed five earned runs over his three innings of work.
Jackson clamored together five hits over the course of the six inning contest, but failed to convert any of the hits into runs. Charlie Jury went 2-for-2, and Ivan Vega went 1-for-2, which led the way offensively for the Goats.
Matthew Riley was called upon in relief, and did well in two innings, but with the game being trimmed short, his contributions were overshadowed by the lack of production across the board for the Rockabillys.
Since entering this road stretch, the Goats have been outscored 31-9, and have been shutout twice. Furthermore, they narrowly avoided a shutout to begin their trip, dropping game one to Dubois County 8-1.
Goats Notes: Blue skies sit on the horizon for the Goats, as they look to push passed their recent woes with a repeat contest against Champion City tonight. First pitch is set for 5:35 p.m. CDT.
